At Hand Services Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization that focuses on providing economic relief through job training, education, and financial assistance to shift our clients to a better standard of living and a world of independence.
We Care Packs
We Care Packs were created to provide economic relief to low-income senior citizens and veterans by providing them with toiletries, paper products and cleaning supplies. Senior citizens work their entire life and once they retire, they are given less than $700 (estimate) to live off. Veterans have sacrificed and served our country. Some transition from military life to civilian life effortlessly, while others struggle.
WCP are designed to provide economic relief to these two demographics in order to free up funds to be used in other needed areas of their budget. WCP relies on sponsors and donations to provide supplies four times a year to our clients. Sponsors can provide economic relief for one client with $480 for the year, $240 for six months, $120 for three months, and $40 for one month. Each sponsor who supports this program is informing each senior citizen and veteran that they are not forgotten because, We Care.
Homeless Cold Weather Initiative & Transient Care Packs
The Homeless Cold Weather Initiative is held every October in preparations for the change is weather on the Gulf Coast. The HCWI provides the homeless with a hot lunch, snacks, hats, scarfs, gloves, socks, shawl, and hygiene products.
Transient Care Packs for the homeless provides a quick meal that can be opened and eaten without a microwave or stove. These care packs include hygiene products and food.
Life Skills Camp
Life Skills Camp provides basic training for when a teenager, or adult, leaves home for the first time. Home EC (Economics) is not offered to high school student anymore. Some basic life skills are not taught but learned through trial and error. For example, the first time I ever mopped was when I went to college.
LSC is designed to equip anyone with training for the necessities to live on their own, including the good use of common sense.
LSC will cover the following and much more:
- Cleaning - sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing of tubs.
- Sewing – buttons back on shirts, and mending holes in clothing.
- Finances – budgeting, balancing check books, and savings.
- Financial Aid – suggestions on how to obtain and use financial aid.
- Cooking – how to cook good food in a microwave, or hot plate.
- Self Defense – basic moves to protect against any physical attacks.
- Communication – How to communicate a message effectively.
- College 101 – College life
- Basics of an Interview – How to write a resume and be confident when interviewed.
After completing LSC, participants will be able to function with confidence in their new surroundings as they venture into the world equipped with basic life skills.
Turkey Round Up
Every Thanksgiving, At Hand Services Inc. partners with other nonprofit organizations to assist in providing Thanksgiving meals to our local community. We provide turkeys to go into Thanksgiving baskets to meet the needs of those less fortunate. This year we were able to partner with six different organizations and assisted with approximately 80 Thanksgiving dinners this year.
Community Outreach
We actively engage with local communities and other nonprofit organizations to identify needs and develop tailored programs. Collaboration with other nonprofits, community leaders, local school, and churches allow all of us to impact the community in a positive way. Together, we create a stronger and more inclusive society.

Our goal is to conquer grief by obtaining a new perspective on life without our love-ones. This is the most challenging part about grief. However, you don't have to do it alone. At Hand Services Inc. will work with you.
